Based upon his grandmother's recipe, the Ultimate Coconut Cake has been refined to frothy perfection by Peninsula Grill Executive Chef Robert Carter and is now available for home delivery. Chef Carter’s celebrated cake has recently garnered the praise of Martha Stewart, who contacted Carter to appear on The Martha Stewart Show to demonstrate the recipe.
Twelve layers of pure indulgence, The Ultimate Coconut Cake is infused with coconut and fresh vanilla. Unlike most traditional coconut cakes, the pound cake center is topped with an icing made from cream and butter, coated in toasted coconut and dripping with simple syrup.
5" tall and 10" in diameter, the show-stopping Ultimate Coconut Cake serves 16, weighs approximately 12 lbs. Refrigerated, the cake stays fresh for 1 week and can be frozen for up to 4 months. It is best served at room temperature.
