USA Today Features Peninsula Grill

September 12, 2013

USA Today describes Peninsula Grill as a "classic" place to eat in Charleston.

"Velvet-lined walls and antique cypress wainscoting set an elegant tone in this 16-year-old restaurant, which is part of the 64-room Planter's Inn. The location on the corner of Meeting and Market streets couldn't be more central, or the menu of Lowcountry-inspired fare more tempting. Try dipping a fork into the grilled, bourbon-glazed shrimp with Hoppin' John and lobster hushpuppies. And for dessert, the Peninsula Grill's scrumptious, seven-layer Ultimate Coconut Cake ranks as an only-in-Charleston experience."
